Description
Lily of the Valley White is a tough little plant with broad leaves and covered in pretty white bell flowers. It has a heavenly perfume and has been a favourite for generations. Makes a fantastic under-planting beneath the canopy of a large tree. Lily of the Valley flowers in Spring and makes a stunning cut flower. These dainty flowers are often added to bride’s bouquets to symbolise sweetness and purity of heart.
Lily of the Valley prefers a full shade position in cool climates likes cold damp shady spot with plenty of compost and leaf mulch. Plant with pips just under the soil surface. Lily of the Valley is ideal in pots, under trees and are highly prized as a cut flower.
Tips: Lily of the Valley take a few years to become established and are best when undisturbed. More suited to cold climates and will bloom best after a hard, cold winter.
