Babiana

Looking to add vibrant, long-lasting colour to your garden? Babiana (Babiana stricta) is the perfect pick! These charming bulbous perennials produce star-shaped blooms in shades of purple, blue, pink, and white, flowering in spring with a cheerful display that lasts for weeks. Ideal for garden beds, borders, rockeries, and pots, they thrive in full sun to part shade and grow to a neat, compact height, with soft-textured foliage that adds interest even when not in bloom. Truly a bulb for all, Babiana can be grown across all climates, from cool to tropical. Drought-tolerant once established and able to handle cold conditions, they are low-maintenance plants that can naturalise easily, providing cheerful blooms year after year. Fragrance-free and perfect for allergy sufferers, their flowers also make excellent long-lasting cut flowers, bringing vibrant, carefree colour into your home and garden with little effort.
